What This Site Does
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public. The catch is knowing where to look. The Levy County Sheriff's Office runs the local jail roster, which lists people held before trial and those on short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for people sentenced to state prison. Federal and immigration detainees turn up in yet other systems. We gather those rosters and locators, plus the visitation rules, mailing addresses, and records-request steps that go with them, and explain each in plain words for Levy County.
What You Will Find Here
The pages are organized around the questions people actually ask.
- Inmate lookup help, including jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- A page for the Levy County Detention Bureau with its address, phone, and visitation rules.
- Step-by-step help for the county jail roster and the statewide Florida inmate locator.
- How to request a booking record or photo, and what response time to expect.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no tie to the Levy County Sheriff's Office, the Detention Bureau, the Florida Department of Corrections, or any other government agency. That honesty matters, so here are the limits.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send money for you.
- We cannot give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address stays current.
Only the sheriff's office or the corrections department can confirm current custody status, charges, or release. We can point you to the right roster, but the official answer comes from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers, and those providers set their own pricing. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, which is what keeps this site free to use. We do not control how those tools price their service or what results they return, and using them is always your choice.
